Be a Style Guru – Part III
Women
There’s no feeling like walking into a place knowing that you are faultlessly turned-out in well-cut clothes, the perfect shoes and accessories that add touch of class and elegance. The first thing to do is buy clothes that flatter your shape and coloring and not those of the model in the advertisement.
Petite Women
Petite women need to keep clothes in line with slim narrow belts. A slight contrast in colors and fitted lines will flatter you endlessly. Also stay with fabrics that are soft and flowing. Overpowering prints should be avoided.
Tall Women
Tall women can indulge in wide belts and must avoid clothes that are excessively tight. Skirts that are too short or too long do not suite tall women. Tall women can play down the waist by wearing blouses over pants and skirts.
Top Heavy Women
The top-heavy body types need to choose long jackets without shoulder pads. Do not wear clingy fabrics on top. Instead, choose darker colors. Wear pants or skirts that are pleated to bring the eye down.
Skin
Your skin is the body’s largest organ and a crucial defence against bacterial infection. Your health is reflected in the appearance of your skin and hair. Taking care is very simple. First step is to determine the kind of skin you have.
Normal Skin
If you have a normal skin, lucky you! All you have to do is follow a basic routine of cleansing, toning and moisturizing twice a day.
Oily Skin
Regular scrubs and toning after exercise will help. Do not wash you face with soap more than two to three times a day. This will only stimulate the sebaceous glands to produce more oil.
Dry Skin
Follow the same routine as for normal skin but pay extra attention to the moisturizing. Don’t forget to wear a moisturizing sunscreen every time you go out in the sun.
Cosmetics
When it comes to cosmetics, buy only good quality, reputed brands even if they are a bit expensive. They are safe and tested for allergic reactions. Don’t hoard cosmetics for a length of time. As soon as they begin to smell old, it should g straight into the bin!
Perfume is the finishing touch to any well-groomed person. Apply on pulse points like wrists, temples and the neck side. To allow the aroma to linger use a soap and moisturizer of the same range and brand.
Here is the last tip that works wonders for everyone, sport a smile!
